RANO JAIN

Practicing in Delhi since qualifying in the year 1989. Rano Jain Legal was established by her with the blessings of her parents and support of well wishers.

 An alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, having completed Chartered Accountancy as well as LL.B. as a rank holder through out, holds vast experience in the field of Corporate Taxation. Her areas of specialization include Income Tax Appellate matters and has represented clients before different tax authorities including Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and High Courts/Supreme Court.

She has also been a co-opted member in the Direct Tax Committee of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and had also been a partner with Ved Jain and Associates, a leading tax consultancy firm based in Delhi.

She was appointed as an Accountant Member in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in the year 2015, posted mainly in Chandigarh. In a tenure of one year, authored around 550 orders, most of which have been published in the renowned taxation journals. After serving the Central Government for a period of one year had resigned and came back to practice.

She was also selected as a Technical Member in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in the year 2019, however opted not to join and continue with the practice.

She had been instrumental in providing direct tax consultancy to a number of Public Sector Undertakings, individuals and corporates like Dalmia Housing Finance Ltd., Varun Beverages Ltd., Joyalukkas, Rohit Gandhi, Communist Party of India (Marxist) etc.
